Reuters is reporting that the writer’s bigwigs and the Hollywood bigwigs have tentatively agreed on the guts of a new contract. The contract has to now go the the union for vote, but if everyone agrees, the strike could end by the end of the week.
Does this mean that the Lost season can be saved? Industry insiders and Hollywood executives list February 15 as deadline for putting writers back to work to save what’s left of the current television season and begin writing for next season’s scripts.
A mid season hiatus does seem like a reality. For Lost fans, this isn’t such a big change from the way things have been in the past. After all, season 3 was aired with a mid-season hiatus.
If the groups can’t get along, I know an island we can send them to until they can learn to get along. Rumor has it that this island can radically change a person’s perspective.
