Rate the Episode - 4.09 “The Shape of Things to Come”

Holy #&#*$@!

I suppose, if you are going to wait a few weeks for a new show, it might as well be this episode. Episodes of Lost tend be focused; either they are mysterious, they are action packed, or they are character-centric. Well, this episode had it all going.

It is going to take a while for me to digest this episode, but make sure to check back for my review and observations. It will take me at least that long to figure out the rules. For now however, rate the episode.

This week’s poll is dedicated to Alex.  I could not believe it when she was killed.  It wasn’t the most shocking moment of this episode, but it did bother me quite a bit.  So Alex, you meant something to me, and this poll is for you.  Sound off below:

    this is a great website. lostfan, i just want to say that in trying to come to grips with what’s going on from week to week, your observations and predictions really help me.

    It didn’t cross my mind at the time that “The Shape of Things to Come” is a novel by H.G. Wells. I have never read it, so I have no idea what it is about. I wonder if it is any comparison to what is happening in LOST.

    I sure hope you can make sense of last nights episode, b/c I am a little “lost” myself!

    P.S. I am especially confused about Sayid and Ben and when this is all taking place. Was Ben teleported or something into the year 2005? Why does Sayid say he has been “searching for the woman I love for eight years.” Is there a significance to this? Are we supposed to know this woman he married? I feel like I am missing something.
    Oh and hello, the smoke monster?! what is that?!
