First, I apologize for the delay in this post.  My first draft, and every other document I own is at the Apple Store - on a busted hard drive.

Second, I was a bit let down by the pace of episode 4.10, “Something Nice Back Home.”  I don’t think I would have been had it not been for such a powerful episode last week.  In the early days of Lost, these deep, character driven episodes used to hold more for me.  Now, I am just dieing for more answers and action.  I guess I am not as sentimental as I used to be.

Here are the standout moments from the week for me, feel free to add your own.

The Kiss - A big kiss was promised, and I kinda figured it wouldn’t be Ben and Locke.  It made sense that Kate and Jack would be smooching.  I did like the kiss as an opening, because I knew that it wouldn’t work out by the end.  Jack is just too screwed up.

I think his jealousy for Kate is unfounded.  Just because she made Sawyer a promise does not mean there is love there.  Personally, I think Kate’s promise has to do with Clementine(Sawyer’s daughter) or his ex-wife.  I think it is perfectly innocent.

Hurley - This was the best Hurley moment ever from an acting perspective.  His notion that he is dead is a red hearing meant to throw the audience onto some “Losties are dead” trail.  His warning that Jack will be visited and shouldn’t raise Aaron was spooky.  It definitely sets Aaron up to be the key to the whole experience - don’t you think?

Sawyer is not a fun good guy.  Don’t get me wrong, I think it is noble that Sawyer is out to save the world, but it is just not “Sawyer-ish.”  I did like how Jin was willing to step into the dark-hero shoes.  A Daniel finger-breaking moment would have been great!

Rousseau is really dead.  Will she be back?

Is Claire now dead?  I think she might have just died in the Freighter attack - she just hadn’t realized it yet.  Wouldn’t that be wacky?
