Oh Mamma.  I can’t wait for this week’s Lost episode.  I mean, read this:

“Cabin Fever” - Locke is enlightened as to the whereabouts of Jacob’s cabin, and life aboard the freighter becomes perilous, on “Lost,” THURSDAY, MAY 8 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET)

Now this seems like an exciting episode.  The Jacob story line as well as the true time-line on the freighter are two pieces of the puzzle that are sorely in need of a few good answers.

If you aren’t excited yet - check out the sneak peeks and see if you get any goose-bumps.

So i rewatched The Man Behind the Curtain the other day cuz some Ben stuff has been bothering me. I’m still all about trying to find out what happened to Dharma, or DHARMA… I’ve seen this episode 4 times now and i just noticed that Samantha Mathis (ben’s elementry teacher in his flashback) was with the guy (who got Roger Workman a job on the island - and in the previews for this weeks episode tells Locke he’s been dead for 12 years). So when Ben’s mom is carried out of the Portland jungle, Mathis and this guy pull over to help them. When Ben’s mom says ‘call him benjiman’ right before she dies the 2 will be DHARMA folks give each other an omnimous look. Is this just a coincidence, or should this indicate that these 2 folks are ‘looking’ for “Benjiman” for the island or in line with some prophecy or something? Or do they just look at each other cuz a woman just died in front of them after having given birth 2 months early in the jungle. By now i leave nothing to chance with Lost and wouldnt be suprised by anything. Mathis also didnt age in those years, but i dont know if thats the same kind of not aging as Robert.. if it was, then what would the true relationship be between the hostiles and dharma? Is one of them Ben’s people, and the other Widmore’s people? Sorry if you already covered all this. I just found your blog this season. I’ve been wondering about time travel, maybe aliens, or maybe “living dead” or an earthly heaven type place since the beginning and am suddenly even more curious.
Is the man behind the curtain and 2 weeks ago episodes the only Ben episodes? I can’t think of any others off the top of my head.
I wonder what this guy that’s been dead for 12 years will tell Locke.. or is it just Jacob trying to mess with Ben. I can’t even process whats going on on the freighter right now! :) Isnt it thursday yet?

    Thanks for the post!

“TMBC” is the only other Ben episode before this season.
You bring up some great points here, I need to rewatch the old episodes to look back for some of those “hidden looks.” It is so hard to tell what is loaded and what is a “red herring.”.

Personally, all of my bets are on “time travel” and the universe trying to correct itself and fate being un-escapable. I would hate aliens or zombies, but for some reason time-travel makes sense.

I’m with you on the time travel thing. i’ve been saying that all along too. zombies would be cheesy and sucky. i thought the ‘dead’ people were jacob or the smoke monster, or is jacob the smoke monster directly or indirectly? Robert Albert never aging really got me wondering… oh well. we’ll see what happens tonite!
