I hate zombies; I really do. They cheapen things. I refuse to believe that Christian Shephard is some kind of zombie wandering around the island in search of brains or something. Yes, I know he (is supposed to have) died. Yes, I know he was in a coffin. Yes, I know he is not anymore. I don’t accept that he is a zombie.
So, is he just a manifestation? In “Something Nice Back Home,” Jack’s smoke detector goes wonky right before he sees his father. Was that a big hint that the smoke monster is manifesting itself as Christian? If that is true, are all the dead people just Ol’ Smokey? That is certainly many people’s opinion.
Is Christian Shephard alive and well do to time manipulation? Did the plane crash before Shephard died, therefore he is alive. If that is the case, why is he haunting Jack in the future, and why hasn’t he shown up on the beach for a tub of ranch dressing? If this is the case, he could be trapped between the two worlds, but does that make him a zombie?
Is Christian Shephard Jack Shephard. No, that is not a typo - I meant to ask that question. What if Christian Shephard is non other than Jack. You see, Jack goes crazy in the once he is off of the island. In his attempt to get back, he is able to master time traveling. He then goes back int time, orchestrates things so that the plane can crash which will get him back on the island. He is now running around trying to straighten things out so that he never gets off the island in the first place.
Or, is he a zombie?
