Dark. Violent. Casualties.
That is Michael Emerson’s (Ben) response to TV Guide in an interview when he was asked to describe the season 4 finale. Needless to say, I am excited. I finally have some sneak peeks to offer you:
As for the TV Guide interview, I highly recommend it. It is amazing for me to see how much the Lost fanbase enjoys Ben, Michael Emerson’s character on Lost. Originally, he was supposed to be a bit part - little more than a small plot diversion. Emerson says himself that he was supposed to be in three episodes. Now, at this point he is a major player in the past, present, and future of the Island.
After the finally tonight, make sure to come back for the episode poll, and later this week for the discussion and dissection of the episode. I also have some great ideas planned for the blog during the 8 month hiatus, but I would love to hear any ideas you have.
I’ll be watching with you tonight! Have fun.

hey guys- i don;t know what to say about tonights episode yet, except WOW, but i do want to share something i just discovered.
upon learning that john locke is jeremy bentham, i struggled to remember back to when (or if) i had heard this name before, (end of season 3 they said)? i feel like i sometimes miss a lot, so excuse me for being a total idiot for not remembering this it was something pivitol.
Anyways, in trying to find out the answer, i just thought i would do an internet search and typed in “who is jeremy bentham?” thinking i would might find some lost fansites out there that would clue me in. and guess what i found…Jeremy Bentham was a real person. a famous philospher and social reformer. i distinctly remembered the name once i saw it as i had taken some sociology courses in college back in the day. and it gets even better…they say he was influenced by the works of John Locke-yet another philospher i remember studying. Duh! i never put two and two together. hmmm…i wonder if there could be a connection?
anyways, jeremy bentham was best known for his belief in the philosphy known as Utilitarianism. Look it up if you want to know more. I still have to read it over myself. I found out all of this on Jeremey Bentham from Wikipedia. Its a very good site.
Look forward to seeing what all of you thought of tonight.
